LitWorld Girls' Club Celebration on December 14 Features Special Guest: Arianna Huffington
NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Journalist, author, and entrepreneur Arianna Huffington, co-founder and editor-in-chief of The Huffington Post, will be the special guest at LitWorld's Harlem Girls' Club Celebration, located at the Polo Grounds, 2965 8th Ave., at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14.
Ms. Huffington will be offering the girls her own story of success through literacy and will be speaking about the impact of words on her career and experience as a woman.
The girls will then have the chance to share their stories with her, ask her questions, read some of their own work, and talk about the impact of the Girls' Club on their lives.
LitWorld's Girls' Clubs are inspiring and engaging girls, ages 8 to 16, through the power of words and stories, especially focusing on academic and emotional empowerment.
