Lithium Adds Klout Founder Joe Fernandez to Board of Directors
SAN FRANCISCO, April 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lithium Technologies has added Klout founder and former CEO Joe Fernandez to the company's board of directors. Fernandez's responsibilities for Klout have been distributed functionally throughout Lithium, Klout technology is now integrated throughout the Lithium roadmap, and Lithium has combined the two companies' brands representing both areas of emphasis. Fernandez is replacing Chi-Hua Chien on the board, who joined in connection with the Lithium acquisition of Klout in March 2014.
"Joe has made our acquisition of Klout a big success and I'm grateful for his vision and contributions to the entire Lithium roadmap and platform," said Rob Tarkoff, President and CEO of Lithium. "Joe will continue to play a vital role guiding us on consumer apps and technology. I know his passion is as an entrepreneur—I'm glad we get to benefit from his entrepreneurial spirit and insights on our board at the same time I wish him huge success in his next endeavors."
"I am very proud of what I contributed to Klout and Lithium," added Fernandez. "Lithium is announcing some important Klout innovations over the next couple of months. I am happy I could shape the product's direction and make an impact on Lithium's vision as a Total Community provider. Klout will always be a passion of mine—and I know the product and its users are in great hands with Lithium."
