Litera's Change-Pro TDC Rates an A+ From TechnoLawyer's BigLaw Reviewer
MCLEANSVILLE, N.C., March 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- An A+ "TechnoScore" rating has been awarded to Litera's (www.litera.com) patented Change-Pro TDC 7 (Total Document Comparison) by an independent reviewer for BigLaw, a newsletter devoted to unearthing the "best and worst practices" of the country's largest law firms.
"Change-Pro stands apart because it compares not only text and tables but also images, shapes, headers/ footers, footnotes, comments, and embedded objects (including embedded Excel sheets and JPG images)," writes reviewer Richard C. Belthoff, a North Carolina-based attorney and BigLaw contributor. He measured Change-Pro's performance by comparing heavily formatted 200-page Microsoft Word documents with cross-references, numbers, styles, tables and images.
BigLaw is one of nine newsletters published by TechnoLawyer, an online publisher concerned with "creating and maintaining an environment in which legal professionals and others in the field can share their knowledge and experiences with their peers."
In his review, Belthoff cites Change-Pro's newest feature which has just been awarded a U.S. patent, writing: "Change-Pro takes a big step forward with an additional feature for tables called Intelligent Table Comparison Algorithm. Change-Pro focuses on the changes made to the text in a table only, rather than to all the changes to the table's structure. Otherwise, you might miss the important text changes amid the dazzling array of colors used to display table structure changes."
After evaluating every aspect of Change-Pro, including its text and field formatting options, its fields and numbers capabilities and its new features and additional comparison options, Belthoff writes: "I find it hard to come up with a wish list or criticism." He concludes, "Change-Pro is easy to use, accurate, and fast, and offers a myriad of options for comparing and formatting your redline document. Therefore, I highly recommend it as an option for your redlining needs, which explains my high TechnoScore of A+."
