Lionbridge to Present at LocWorld35 Silicon Valley on Emerging Roles in the Age of Extreme Automation
Company executive to lead panel discussion with global technology leaders and present insights on continuous delivery and driving forces of technology automation
WALTHAM, Mass., Oct. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Lionbridge Technologies, Inc., the world's most trusted translation and global digital communications company, today announced Anja Schaefer, VP of Global Solutions for Lionbridge, will moderate a panel on "Evaluating Our Roles in the Age of Extreme Automation" at the upcoming LocWorld35 Silicon Valley conference, taking place November 1-3 at the Santa Clara Convention Center. In addition to the panel discussion, scheduled for Friday, November 3 at 10:15 a.m. PT, Lionbridge will also serve as an event sponsor and exhibit its solutions onsite in booth #206.
LocWorld brings together delegates who are engaged in the business of adapting products, services and communications to an international language or culture to appear native to that particular region. Approximately 700 global business executives from 45 countries are expected to attend. The conference is produced by MultiLingual Computing, Inc. and The Localization Institute.
The panel discussion will include Janice Campbell, Senior Program Manager at Adobe Systems Inc., Alfonso Carrillo, Manager of Globalization and Translation Services at Cisco Systems Inc. and Sergio Pelino, Director of Global Content & Technology at PayPal. Schaefer will lead the conversation on innovations in technology automation and how adoption continues to challenge the way we think about global content creation, management and deployment, including how to determine which roles will be critical in automation adoption as organizations continue to shift towards a more customer-centric approach. Attendees will learn how technology has impacted traditional roles in the content life cycle, new roles that technology automation has created, how businesses can capitalize on changes and future technologies to consider.
"LocWorld is an important event for companies that are doing business globally or that are addressing multiple language markets," said Schaefer. "As localization becomes more automated, it is important to consider our roles within the industry today, how they are changing and new roles that will fuel innovation. LocWorld provides an opportunity to discuss this important topic that can help global organizations meet their business objectives today, while planning for tomorrow."
At LocWorld, Lionbridge will also release a new report titled, "The Strategic Shift: Localization's Fast Track to Driving Greater Business Value," which offers three strategic steps for individuals to become indispensable to a company's globalization plans.
