Linde Distributor Association launches vastly improved website

MURRAY HILL, N.J. and NEW PROVIDENCE, N.J., Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Linde Distributor Association (LDA) has launched a new and vastly improved version of its website, http://www.ldabuy.com/en/index.html.  LDA, established in 1993, enables its independent gases and equipment distributor members to leverage their purchasing power to achieve volume discounts and earn rebates from equipment suppliers.   

"The new site is a significant improvement over the original site," said Jim Lisiecki, Distributor Program manager for Linde LLC, which provides the LDA with administrative support, participates in vendor selection and programs, manages committees and provides guidance on best practices and changing trends in the industry.

"Our members were the impetus for the upgrade," Lisiecki said. "They wanted a website that gave them more control of content and enhances their ability to increase transactions and to grow their business." The new website has a vastly improved Directory of members, who can now access the site and provide updates on their businesses and activities. "This allows the site to be constantly refreshed as members make changes to their organizations," Lisiecki said.

The new site also has a completely revamped Buyers' Guide where vendors can post special deals for distributors, with flyers and promotional material, as well as post their terms and conditions. It also includes a clearing house for distributors who wish to sell used equipment or overstocked accessories to other member distributors.  A "News" section allows members to announce changes to their organization, such as new branches or warehouses, and distributor and vendor sales and marketing events. It also provides listings of upcoming trade shows and other events important to the members.

"Of course, the Homepage gives non-member distributors and vendors access to information about the LDA, its purpose and benefits, with an opportunity to request additional information to possibly start the membership process," said Lisiecki.

LDA has 70 member companies who have over 400 retail locations throughout the U.S. Combined, LDA members have made over $1 billion in annual purchases and have earned some $27 million in rebates since the group was established in 1993. Products purchased include welding and cutting equipment, consumables, and gas containment and handling equipment.
