WEST ORANGE, N.J., Feb. 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincoln Educational Services Corporation (NASDAQ: LINC), a leader in hands-on technical training, has announced a partnership with Minnesota-based Scott Equipment to provide electrical and hydraulic systems training to Scott technicians.
"With the speed of technology and today's modern work environment, even the most experienced employees can benefit from a course that's customized to hone and update their existing skills," says Lincoln Tech President and CEO Scott Shaw. "Any company that wants to distinguish itself in industry should invest in having the best trained, most up-to-date employees in the business. Lincoln Tech provides the customized training to bring that vision to life."
Whether they're reading an electrical schematic or gaining a better understanding of hydraulic systems, Scott Equipment's technicians will be more efficient and better trained following their Lincoln Tech training program – leading to more satisfied customers. In an era where many industries see cuts in employee development, Scott Equipment believes that its investment in training will lead to motivated – and thus more productive – employees.
"By investing in advanced hydraulic and electrical training for our equipment technicians, we will have a level of service that no other provider can offer," according to Shannon Wilson, Corporate Product Support Manager at Scott Equipment. "Our organization provides multiple lines of heavy duty construction equipment – from cranes to excavators and forklifts – and this fundamental training will allow each employee to tackle any challenge on a job site."
Much of the training will take place at Lincoln Tech's Nashville campus, which has been providing skilled training for technicians in the Automotive, Diesel and Heavy Equipment industries since its founding as Nashville Auto-Diesel College more than 95 years ago. Training modules will also be held at certain Scott locations. Todd Stokes, Director of Career Services at the Nashville campus, explains that the training will be administered to technicians selected by Scott and tailored around initial diagnostic skills assessments.
"We're offering Scott Equipment a customized training curriculum that first assesses the pre-existing knowledge of selected employees," Stokes says. "Many of these technicians are already experienced – we plan to tailor our instruction to take their knowledge to the next level."
With 70 years of industry-leading technical training, employers around the country are familiar with Lincoln Tech's trade schools and vocational programs. Lincoln Tech participates in industry training partnerships with leading companies across the automotive, diesel, and skilled trade industries, and has the ability to tailor workforce development programs to suit the needs of its partners.
