Lincoln Renewable Energy Appoints Vice President of Finance

CHICAGO, Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincoln Renewable Energy (LRE), a developer of U.S. solar and wind projects, today announced the appointment of Sanjeev Menon to the new position of vice president of finance. Menon, former director of structured finance and business development at SunPower Corp., will play a key role in the financing of LRE's upcoming new solar projects.

"Sanjeev's 20-year track record in raising capital, particularly his recent successes in financing solar Photovoltaic (PV) projects, makes him a valuable addition to our team," said LRE CEO Declan Flanagan. "This appointment completes a strong management team as we move into construction mode on LRE's first solar projects in New Jersey in 2011."

At SunPower, Menon oversaw more than $250 million in financings within the solar market. He has extensive experience in senior and mezzanine debt, tax equity and equity placements as well as in project development. Previously, he served as vice president, syndications, at United Financial of Illinois and director, TL1 Partners Inc. He also was co-founder and chief financial officer of RealHub.com Inc. and an assistant vice president at GE Capital. During his career, Sanjeev has closed over $1.5 billion in debt and equity financings.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University.

Recently, the company announced plans to start construction by year end of a $60 million, 10-megawatt solar energy facility in Fairfield Township, N.J. The NJ Oak Solar project would create about 100 construction jobs for the six-month construction phase. It is one of several projects in development in New Jersey. Earlier this year, the company also opened a regional office in Woodstown, N.J.
