Lincoln Continues Support of the Community: Donates 10 Laptops for Alzheimer's Program
HICKSVILLE, N.Y., April 21, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Lincoln Computer Services has taken a proactive approach to help the local community and the donations keep coming! LCS donated 10 laptops and carts to the Good Morning Mom and Dad Alzheimer's program started by Hebrew Home at Riverdale by RiverSpring Health.
Good Morning Mom and Dad is a creative, non-pharmacological approach to Alzheimer's care that aims to help Alzheimer's residents who are sometimes agitated in the morning, start their day off in a positive way. The program entails recording of a message that begins with a good morning greeting, a remark about how it is a beautiful day, followed by a personal story or special shared memory. The video messages are wheeled into rooms on a cart with a laptop and are incorporated into the residents' daily plan of care.
When asked about the donation, President of LCS, Teddy Cillis stated, "Lincoln Computer Services is honored to be able to donate to such a unique program which combines patient care and technology to provide an innovative solution for Alzheimer's patients. Cofounder John Antimisiaris added, "It truly is amazing how Hebrew Home at Riverdale has been able to adapt technology to the medical field. We are honored to be part of this extraordinary initiative and look forwards to the analytics stemming from the program."
Hebrew Home's Director of Social Services, Charlotte Dell, is thankful for the generosity of Lincoln Computer Services. "Your donation will truly make a difference in the lives of our Alzheimer's residents. This is a heart warming example of how technology can enhance the quality of life of older adults."
