Lincoln College of Technology, Haas Partner to Train Future CNC Machinists in Texas

WEST ORANGE, N.J., Sept. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Lincoln Educational Services Corporation (NASDAQ: LINC), a national leader in specialized technical training and a driving force in helping students turn their passion into professional success, has announced its Grand Prairie, TX campus of Lincoln College of Technology will partner with Haas Automation to train students for CNC Machining careers using Haas equipment.

Lincoln will become one of the first proprietary school networks to launch a program offering training for CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) Machining careers.  The CNC Machining and Manufacturing Technology program will train students in manufacturing fundamentals such as milling and lathing, and advanced concepts including 5-axis machining technology and simulated workplace exercises. 

Lincoln's Grand Prairie campus will be equipped with four TM-1P Toolroom Mills and four TL-1 Toolroom Lathes, a VF-2SS featuring a Trunnion and 5-axis mill, and an ST-10 featuring a live tooling lathe.  This high-tech, computer-based Haas machinery showcases the future of the American manufacturing industry, according to Lincoln CEO Shaun McAlmont.

Lincoln continues to seek out and establish new partnerships and programs around the country to bridge the skills gap between the abilities of the workforce and the needs of employers.  The 152,000+ square foot Grand Prairie campus will offer certificate and diploma programs in CNC Machining and Manufacturing Technology, in addition to its current programs in Automotive, Diesel and Truck Technology, Collision Repair and Refinishing, and Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating (HVAC) Technology.
