PORTLAND, Ore., Oct. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Wacom announced two new limited-edition color versions of its Bamboo Slate smartpad to bring ideas from paper to the cloud and into the digital workflow – at home, at school and at work. For a limited time, the A4/letter-sized Bamboo Slate smartpad is available with a red or blue pixel pattern on the back of the Bamboo Slate so users can match their individual styles for a more personalized note-taking and sketching experience.
These special edition models boast the same technology as the original versions, seamlessly bridging the gap between paper and digital. The smartpads are based on Wacom's EMR (Electro Magnetic Resonance) pen technology and make use of WILL™, Wacom's digital ink. This allows users to start their ideas with a pen on their favorite paper and with a simple push of a button turn their handwritten notes or sketches into digital files and save them in the Wacom Inkspace app.
"We were excited by the enthusiasm and passion from fans and users of the original Bamboo Slate and Folio and always saw those products as the beginning of a journey that unfolds as our customers' needs evolve,'' said Mike Gay, Senior Vice President of Wacom's Consumer Business Unit. "With the introduction of red and blue Bamboo Slates, we aim to provide more personal options for our users and offer a new, easy and fun way to take handwritten notes and ideas further."
Bamboo continues to evolve its product line to match the desires and wishes of consumers. With the addition of color options, Bamboo provides smartpads across a range of sizes, formats and colors to reflect the way consumers think and work. This includes the A4/letter and A5/half-letter sized Bamboo Folio and Slate, and now the new color options for the A4/letter-sized Bamboo Slate.
Priced at $159.95 USD, the A4/letter-sized color edition of the Bamboo Slate is now available exclusively at Wacom.com and Amazon.com. The gray A4/letter and A5/half letter Bamboo Slates are still available worldwide.
