Limited Bottles of Philadelphia Eagles World Championship Victory Wine Available at Select Fine Wine & Good Spirits
Celebratory handcrafted wine bottled in unique, deep-etched and hand-painted bottles
HARRISBURG, Pa., July 3, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) today announced that handcrafted bottles of Philadelphia Eagles Championship Red wine are now available in select Fine Wine & Good Spirits.
Each 750mL bottle is deep-etched and hand-painted by artisans, a labor-intensive process that requires skilled craftsmanship. The bottles commemorate the Eagles' Feb. 4, 2018, 41-33 World Championship victory over the New England Patriots.
Inside each limited-edition bottle, the handcrafted Reserve is a blend of Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon and Monterey Merlot. Aged for 15 months in a combination of French and American Oak, this Bordeaux-style blend shows soft tannins, ripe cassis, chocolate, and berry flavors. These flavors create a medium-bodied, dry red with a smooth finish.
A limited number of bottles of Philadelphia Eagles Championship Red are available for $49.99 each at select Fine Wine & Good Spirits locations. To find a store carrying the wine, visit www.FineWineAndGoodSpirits.com and enter product code 75532 into the "Search by Name or Product Code" box near the top of the page.
The PLCB regulates the distribution of beverage alcohol in Pennsylvania, operates more than 600 wine and spirits stores statewide, and licenses 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers, and handlers. The PLCB also works to reduce and prevent dangerous and underage drinking through partnerships with schools, community groups, and licensees. Taxes and store profits – totaling $15.8 billion since the agency's inception – are returned to Pennsylvania's General Fund, which finances Pennsylvania's schools, health and human services programs, law enforcement, and public safety initiatives, among other important public services. The PLCB also provides financial support for the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement, the Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs, other state agencies, and local municipalities across the state.
