Lighthouse Guild and EHE International Partner to Raise Awareness and Improve the Lives of People who are Blind or Visually Impaired
NEW YORK, Jan. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Lighthouse Guild, the leading not-for-profit vision + healthcare organization and EHE International, a recognized leader in preventive medicine, today announced a joint effort to raise awareness about the resources available to New Yorkers who have vision loss.
A street-level multimedia window display, donated by EHE International, at their offices in Rockefeller Center will serve as the centerpiece of this effort. Throughout January, the 15 feet wide x 7 feet high display at 10 Rockefeller Plaza will raise awareness about the many services and programs that can help people of all ages overcome the challenges of vision loss.
"The new year is a time for new beginnings, and thanks to this partnership with EHE International we are able to make sure that people with vision loss as well as their families, caregivers and loved ones know that there is help, hope and resources available to enhance their quality of life and enable them to live safely and independently," said Alan R. Morse, JD, PhD, Lighthouse Guild President and CEO.
"EHE International is happy to donate our window in Rockefeller Center for the month of January to Lighthouse Guild. Together we hope to enlighten, inform and raise awareness about vision loss and empower those living with vision loss and their caregivers about the resources available at Lighthouse Guild," said Deborah McKeever, President of EHE International.
