NEW YORK, Jan. 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM TechWeb's Light Reading (www.lightreading.com), the leading research-led media company serving the global communications marketplace, has announced that its Second Annual Mobile Broadband China conference, May 26-27, 2011, in Beijing will feature some of the leading carrier executives in China.
The conference's exceptional speaker lineup includes Wang Zhi Qin, Deputy Chief Engineer, China Academy of Telecommunication Research MIIT; Zhang Zhi Jiang, GM of Technology Department, China Unicom; George Alvarez, CEO & Director, ChinaTel Group; Qi Bi, Ph.D., President, China Telecom Technology Innovation Center and Chief Technical Officer, China Telecom Beijing Research Institute; Zhao Hui Ling, VP, China Telecom Beijing Research.
In addition, the conference will be led by Heavy Reading Senior Analysts Gabriel Brown and Patrick Donegan, who are two of the leading experts on mobile core and access technologies in the world. Gabe and Patrick will provide a global context to the business model challenges and opportunities for operators as they upgrade current 3G architectures and migrate to LTE. In addition, Daniel Yu, Asia Analyst for Pyramid Research, will present business case analysis and best practices in mobile services pricing and rollout strategies.
"Light Reading is proud to organize such a content-rich conference experience for the China telecom market," said Joe Braue, Executive Vice President of the Light Reading Communications Network. "China is the world's most high-profile mobile market, and carrier executives there deserve a thorough examination of the technologies and products, not sales pitches."
The two-day conference will include a focused LTE Workshop concentrating on network integration, architecture optimization & technology breakthroughs. The conference is a joint production of Light Reading, Heavy Reading, Pyramid, and UBM China. Past sponsors of the Mobile Broadband China event included Huawei, Tekelec, Tellabs and Mobixell.
The event is part of the Light Reading Communications Network 2011 mobile broadband global event series.
