NEW YORK, May 27, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Light Reading's (www.lightreading.com) Big Telecom Event, taking place June 8-10, 2015 at McCormick Place in Chicago, will feature a record-breaking number of partner workshops and meetings from 11 different industry associations, groups and partners.
Workshop partners include ATIS, Global Capacity, Comlink, Connected Nation Exchange (CNX), IBM, Northeast DAS & Small Cell Association (NEDAS), the Optical Internetworking Forum (OIF), the Open Networking Forum (ONF), Open Compute Project (OCP), Open Daylight and SDN Essentials.
These groups will host sessions and workshops co-located at Light Reading's Big Telecom Event. In addition to these educational opportunities, Light Reading's Big Telecom Event will include two full days of its own conference programming tackling the big issues facing the telecom industry, including virtualization, the New IP, the future of mobility infrastructure, improving customer experience through analytics, cloud services and the future of the data center and the shifting business models for telecom providers.
"We're excited to have this diverse group of programming partners on board for this year's event because of the wealth of high-quality content they are adding," says Carol Wilson, Light Reading editor-at-large and programming chair of BTE. "Our attendees are getting information on today's hottest technology topics directly from the groups most involved in shaping their future."
BTE combines an unparalleled mix of interactive panels and presentations created and hosted by Heavy Reading's (www.heavyreading.com) industry analysts, with show floor demonstrations of networking technologies and applications as well as structured, targeted networking opportunities. In addition to workshop partners, BTE will host more than 150 speakers from the industry's leading telcos who will take part in keynotes and panel sessions throughout the two-day event.
BTE will also host two breakfasts on June 10: It's All About the Network, sponsored by Accenture, and Women in Tech, sponsored by Intel. Both will be free to attend with a full event pass to BTE. Additionally, the event will offer two dedicated tracks – the Video Summit on the afternoon of June 9 and the Data Center Interconnect Summit the afternoon of June 10. Wind River will also be showing demos on the Wind River Demo Truck, the Big Rig, during BTE demo hours.
