The winners of the Leading Lights, the telecom industry's most prestigious awards program that is now in its 10th year, and the identities of the latest inductees to the Light Reading Hall of Fame, were announced last night at an exclusive awards dinner held at Chicago's Adler Planetarium. The awards ceremony was held in conjunction with the Big Telecom Event (BTE) (http://www.bigtelecomevent.com/chicago/).
"Last night we celebrated the tenth anniversary of the Leading Lights award program, and it was our best party ever," said Light Reading Editor-in-Chief Ray Le Maistre. "This year's winners not only show how much innovation still exists within the communications networking community, but also highlight the major leaps service providers have been making in their efforts to develop and market new applications. A celebration of innovation and dogged determination is also evident in the five individuals being inducted into the Light Reading Hall of Fame," added Le Maistre. "We congratulate the winners and inductees on their accomplishments."
The Leading Lights program, which now has 16 categories, focuses on next-generation communications technologies, applications, services and strategies, and rewards the companies that have performed well during the past year.
