Lifestyle Foods Owner Tri's for PA Kids
CEO Jason Bross Competes in Land Rover Triathlon for Local Junior Achievement
YORK, Pa., June 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Dedicated, hard-working, driven, and compassionate -- these are words that fittingly describe Lifestyle Foods' President and CEO Jason Bross and his team. Because of his passion for hard work and education, Bross decided -- with the full support of his team -- to make his participation in one that would raise awareness and funds for an organization that he holds dear, Junior Achievement. This coming weekend he will be competing in the 2012 Land Rover TriRock Annapolis Triathlon. Having never competed in a triathlon before, Jason will be expected to complete a 500-meter swim, 12-mile bike, and 3.1 mile run. Jason has successfully been able to raise $3,700 for JA, and will be contributing $1,300 of his own money to bring the total donation to $5,000 for Junior Achievement of South Central Pennsylvania's STEM program.
Lifestyle Foods emphasizes fitness and health, and Bross has focused on these two aspects of living a healthy lifestyle for his entire life. Along with fitness and health, he also values education and goal achievement, and is passionate about doing his part to help in educating the entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
Bross has personally volunteered his time to Junior Achievement in the past and recently completed a weeklong course with a 5th grade class at East York Elementary School. "I really enjoyed spending time with the kids in their classroom and sharing my knowledge with them...it's amazing to see how smart and adept they are at such a young age," he said.
Junior Achievement teaches children important life lessons like how to acquire a job, how to be a productive and efficient citizen and employee, and even gives children insights into possible career options. This wonderful (and teacher-loved) educationally driven organization also helps children in their development of critical thinking, problem-solving, team-working, leadership skills, how the economy works, and how to manage money.

About Lifestyle Foods:
Lifestyle Foods launched in 2006, filling a void in the marketplace to provide healthy grab-and-go consumer products in the perishable category. Their focus is to fit a new trendy, health-conscious generation of customers with whom the company itself can relate. The company's founder and CEO, Jason Bross, noticed an opening in the market for healthy, tasty, and ready to eat products. Other products can be deceiving: offering convenience and not nutrition. This prompted the team to conduct worldwide research seeking healthy innovations. Continuing their research on what products customers crave, Lifestyle Foods provides new options with a variety of choices to fit any taste.
