Lifestory Research Reports: Moen Recognized as the 2017 America's Most Trusted Faucet Brand for the Second Consecutive Year
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., Jan. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Moen has been identified as the Lifestory Research 2017 America's Most Trusted® Faucet Brand for the second year in a row. The study is based on the opinions of 9,748 consumers and their level of trust of specific faucet brands. To qualify to participate in the study, participants must have indicated that they were aware of specific faucet brands. As the 2017 Lifestory Research America's Most Trusted® Faucet Brand, Moen produced the highest Net Trust Quotient Score, followed in order by (2) Kohler, (3) Delta, (4) Pfister, (5) Peerless, (6) Sterling, and (7) American Standard.
"Customers value those brands and companies they trust," said Lifestory Research President Eric Snider. "Over the course of the last decade, our research has identified that trust has become a core standard by which consumers in the marketplace judge brands and companies. It is a benefit to brands like Moen when they rank at the top in consumer trust."
Consumer opinions are collected over the course of the prior 12 months throughout the United States. The faucet brand study examined consumer sentiments toward 25 brands. The brands included in the ranking list are based upon those brands most recognized by consumers. Some brands included in the study are not represented in the list since they did not generate a brand awareness score high enough to be included. Trust is measured through the Lifestory Research Net Trust Quotient Score in which brands are divided into three categories: "advocates," customers who feel a significant trust toward the brand; "neutrals," those who trust a specific brand, but do not see a specific brand as standing on the shoulders of other brands; and "antagonists," who are skeptics with little, if any, trust in a specific brand.
Brands currently awarded the designation of America's Most Trusted include: home builders, active adult resort home builders, faucets, HVAC systems, kitchen appliance brands, laundry appliance brands, paint brands, and residential real estate brokerages. Detailed results for each category as well as the methodology of the program is provided on the Lifestory Research website.
