BRIGHTON, Mich., May 24 /PRNewswire/ -- LifeSecure Insurance Company, a Michigan-based long-term care insurance industry leader, today announced the appointment of Douglas Hamm as Vice President of Sales.

In his new role, Hamm will focus on driving the company's national sales strategies as well as directly contribute to the development of distribution initiatives to accelerate its market growth.

Hamm brings to LifeSecure more than 16 years of insurance sales leadership. Prior to joining LifeSecure, he was vice president of sales, with Assurity Life Insurance Company. Over the course of his career, he has held leadership positions at various Fortune 500 insurance companies, establishing and growing long-term care sales divisions. Hamm's specific expertise in electronic and Web-based sales solutions will be tapped to further improve LifeSecure's already industry-leading sales processing procedures.

Hamm earned his bachelor's degree from Oklahoma State University and holds a MBA from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Okla. He will be relocating from Lincoln, Neb. to work from the LifeSecure headquarters in Brighton, Mich.
