Liberty Power Partners with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation for Third Annual Liberty Power Bright Horizons Scholarship Awards
Scholarship program to award three college students a collective $20,000 for education
FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., May 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Liberty Power, the nation's largest owner-operated retail electric supplier, is proud to announce the launch of the third annual Liberty Power Bright Horizons Scholarship. The scholarship is an ongoing collaboration between Liberty Power and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Foundation. This partnership is focused on providing a collective $100,000 in scholarships over the course of five years to eligible college students pursuing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education with an interest in seeking careers in the fields of energy or the environment.

"The aim of the Bright Horizons Scholarship is to encourage and support a diverse group of students to pursue STEM education. Ultimately, we hope these bright young minds will fuel the U.S. economy and improve our quality of life in the future."
Established in 2013, this year the Bright Horizons Scholarship will award a total of $20,000 in the form of three scholarships valued at $10,000, $6,000, and $4,000. The winners of the 2015 Bright Horizons Scholarship will be announced at the USHCC National Convention on September 20-22 in Houston, Texas.

Students who are currently studying STEM at an accredited two or four-year university with an interest in the field of energy or the environment are welcome to apply by July 15, 2015.
