Liaison Technologies Announces Unprecedented Simple Pricing Model for Its Award-Winning ALLOY™ Platform for Integration and Data Management
New ALLOY approach enables organizations tired of open source "bait and switch" practices and payments by the node, server, CPU, user, adapter, message or kilo-character to dump the complexity and "consumption tax" of these integration pricing models and start fueling innovation
ATLANTA, Aug. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In a move unprecedented for the IT services market, Liaison Technologies, a recognized leader in cloud-based integration and data management solutions, borrows a page from flat rate cellular programs and other services industries to offer users of its award-winning ALLOY™ Platform simple and transparent pricing. ALLOY, the world's first Data Platform as a Service (dPaaS), is now available in a simple three-tier subscription model that covers the full range of integration and data management needs from standard B2B integrations to highly-tailored custom solutions.
In a complete break from traditional industry pricing, ALLOY's new pricing model transcends the complications of standard pricing models that are based on a combination of usage calculations such as transaction volume, compute processing, storage, and managed/professional services hours. Regardless of subscription level, all users of ALLOY enjoy freedom from metered transaction volume and limited compute/store usage. In addition, all subscription levels offer the powerful differentiators that ALLOY is built upon which include Big Data and microservices technologies, independently audited compliance and a fully managed services approach that frees users from the underlying mechanics of integration and data management operations.
"As it turns out, the consumer markets for technology platforms such as cell phones and media providers got something really, really right with their newer flat fee pricing models," said Rob Consoli, Chief Revenue Officer of Liaison. "If you need to budget for service and not worry about hidden fees and overages, our new pricing model, like those of consumer-based services, is easy to understand, transparent and, perhaps most important, predictable. It's time vendors stop penalizing businesses for increasing their use of cloud services and stop killing innovation with complex and mysterious pricing models."
In a 2015 Gartner survey of 348 data integration professionals, 25% of respondents reported dissatisfaction with their data integration vendors' pricing methods.1 By offering platform subscription levels that are consistent with how consumers purchase and pay for most cloud services today—Liaison's new pricing model directly addresses dissatisfaction with complex and out-of-touch integration pricing methods.
"Liaison's new pricing model helps users to avoid bill shock," said Owen Rogers, Research Director, Digital Economics with 451 Research. "Enterprises that might feel nickel and dimed for integration and data management usage will be able to obtain more predictable bills using the model. This helps avoid the risk of running up usage fees unknowingly and then receiving a larger than expected invoice at the end of the billing cycle."
The three ALLOY Platform subscription levels are named Core, Premium, and Elite. Core is designed for standard integrations; Premium supports more complex integrations as well as data management functions; and Elite accommodates highly customized integration and data management solutions. Customers who choose the Core level can subscribe on a monthly pay-as-you-go basis with no service contract. Premium and Elite subscriptions come with service agreements that include premium service features such as advanced solution monitoring, enhanced service levels and access to a wide array of microservices bundles developed by Liaison and its partner ecosystem, all at a predictable cost for ease of administration.
