LG Electronics North America Appoints Geoff Slevin Vice President, Solar

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- LG Electronics Inc. today announced the appointment of energy industry veteran Geoff Slevin to vice president, Solar Division, LG Electronics North America.

Slevin is responsible for sales, marketing and business development for the company's new commercial solar business in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Reporting to LG Electronics North America President and CEO Wayne Park, Slevin is based in the company's North American headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, N.J.

"Geoff's extensive experience with sales and operations in the solar industry will prove very valuable as LG continues to invest in alternative energy," said Park. "We have an aggressive growth plan, and Geoff will play a crucial role in establishing and cultivating LG's solar renewable energy business in North America."

Slevin comes to LG with nearly two decades of experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining LG, he served as general manager for Carlisle Energy Services, where his primary responsibilities included creation and execution of the business strategy of integrating solar into commercial roofing products.

Slevin was with BP Solar from 2003-09, most recently as vice president of sales and marketing, North America. While at BP Solar, he was a member of the board of directors of the Solar Energy Industries Association for four years. Previously, Slevin held engineering and energy management positions with ARCO in Southern California and served as sales manager for Air BP in Chicago.

Slevin received his MBA from the TRIUM program, an alliance of the London School of Economics, NYU Stern School of Business and HEC School of Management in Paris. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
