"LG and Legendary set out to provide a thrilling entertainment experience for Comic-Con attendees," said James Fishler, senior vice president of marketing and go-to-market operations, LG Electronics USA. "From illustrations showcasing Legendary Comics' "The Tower Chronicles" to footage of upcoming films like "Pacific Rim" and "Godzilla," attendees were able to get a first-hand look at crystal-clear clips on LG smartphones and TVs."
Leading up to the event, LG Electronics and Legendary Pictures hosted "The Pass," an opportunity for a select group of lucky fans to watch footage from upcoming film releases, hosted by esteemed talent associated with these upcoming features. Fans were asked to perform a series of tasks and, upon completion, were rewarded with a Legendary T-shirt. A small group of fans received a bonus wrapped in their shirts – a pass to one of two behind-closed doors screenings of early content of "Pacific Rim" and "Godzilla," displayed on LG CINEMA 3D Smart TVs and LG smartphones with True HD displays. The winners also had the chance to meet Guillermo Del Toro and Gareth Edwards, the world-renowned directors of the films.
Fans visiting Legendary's booth between July 12 and 15 were also treated to trailers of Legendary films on LG HD smartphones, including the LG Spectrum and LG Nitro, and LG CINEMA 3D Smart TVs, including LM7600 and LM6200. The innovative LG viewing platforms showcased exhilarating 3D and HD trailers, demonstrating the power of LG technology to bring a real-life, movie-theater experience into consumers' homes and on the go.
"LG smartphones and televisions brought to life the popular characters from Legendary's growing repertoire such as Perseus from 'Wrath of the Titans' and the Wolf Pack from 'The Hangover,' creating a surreal, up-close-and-personal viewing adventure," Fishler said.
