Although the bidding process is ongoing, LG CNS and Hershiser, along with Hershiser's business partners, Joey Herrick of Natural Balance Pet Foods and Aaron Sokol of Paratum Inc., today unveiled elaborate images to help illustrate how the 50 year old stadium can be modified to reflect current electronic innovations.
"To me, Dodger Stadium is hallowed baseball ground. Mr. O'Malley built Dodger Stadium to last a hundred years, and structurally, it's in great shape. Frank McCourt has improved it tremendously over the past several years by adding new seats, new concession stands and by renovating the Dugout Club. It would be a shame for anyone to tear down this beloved Los Angeles landmark, especially one that is perfectly suited to take advantage of all that LG CNS brings to the table. From the most technologically advanced scoreboards in the country, to live footage and statistics available to fans via their smartphones and tablets, we believe these upgrades will provide an elevated fan experience that will be second to none," said Hershiser in a statement released today.
Assisting with this project is Masterimage 3D, who plans to include a state-of-the-art 3D museum in the upgraded stadium, allowing families to watch 3D video clips of beloved Dodger stars and relive some of the great moments in Dodgers' history.
The above photos reflect the proposed stadium as designed by LA-based architect Brian Kite of Lynx Architecture.
