Leverett resigns as WEC Energy Group President; will remain on board of directors
MILWAUKEE, Oct. 9, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- WEC Energy Group (NYSE: WEC) announced today that Allen Leverett, who has been on medical leave since suffering a stroke last October, has decided to resign his position as President of the company, but will continue to serve as a member of the board of directors.
Leverett, age 52, has held senior leadership roles at WEC Energy and its predecessor companies since 2003. He was named President and Chief Executive Officer of the company in May 2016.
