Leumi Creates Distinguished Chicago Advisory Council
Panel of Experts to Provide Guidance on Go-to-Market Strategy
CHICAGO, Sept. 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Bank Leumi USA (Leumi) today announced that it has formed its first-ever advisory council to help shape and drive Leumi's go-to-market strategy in the Chicago area. The creation of this new council in Chicago is part of an ongoing strategic initiative by Leumi to further enhance its product and service offerings and stay ahead of market trends.
The advisory council will be comprised of internal and external stakeholders and includes community leaders and industry experts in the Chicago area. Steven H. Lavin, President and Co-founder of Lavin & Waldon, P.C., will serve as Chairman of the council. Lavin, who was the former Chairman of Leumi, is also the current Chairman of the Leumi Executive Committee and Leumi Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.

Members of the Chicago Advisory Council include:
- Joseph D. Ament, Principal at Much Shelist, PC, is an accomplished tax and business lawyer, as well as a certified public accountant. Ament has extensive experience in financial, estate and income tax planning, as well as business mergers and acquisitions and entity structures including corporations, partnerships and limited liability companies. He is also Emeritus Professor of Taxation and Accounting at Roosevelt University and a former Samuel W. Specthrie Distinguished Professor.
- David Brittsan, Founder of DB C-Suite Group, is a Chicago entrepreneur who specializes in providing CEO and CFO services to entrepreneurs and business owners who are committed to building their businesses for the long term. Previously, he served as President and CEO of DB Aviation, Inc, a national aviation solutions firm.
- Albert R. Grace Jr. is Co-founder and President of Loop Capital, a full service, global investment bank headquartered in Chicago. He has over 36 years of experience in capital markets, money management and law. Al previously held positions at Kemper Financial Services, Inc., CIGNA Corporation and American Express Financial Services, Inc.
- Steven H. Lavin: In addition to his affiliation with Leumi, is president of Lavin & Waldon, P.C. and director and vice-chairman of OSI Group LLC, a leading global provider of primary and value added further processed protein and other food products. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors for an offshore captive insurance company and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. He is also a member of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and its Illinois Executive Council and National Council.
- George W. Mamo, Executive Vice President at International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, has more than 30 years of experience in the non-profit field. Prior to joining the Fellowship, Mamo was Senior Assistant to the President of Winrock International, where he was responsible for the human resources function in 40 countries.
- Shalom Menora is President of Menora Financial Corp. (MFC), a real estate and health care investment and management company based in Chicago. In addition, he has invested in over 30 high tech start-ups in Israel and the U.S., either as a passive or active investor. He is also an owner in the Hapoel Jerusalem Basketball team and splits his time between Israel and the U.S.
- Alison Pure-Slovin is Midwest Regional Director of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a global Jewish human rights organization, and first woman President of The Standard Club. She was recently appointed by Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner to the Illinois Holocaust and Genocide Commission. Pure-Slovin is formally the Midwest Regional Director for Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem and began her career as a non-news producer at WMAQ-TV in Chicago and later formed her own video production company.
- William G. Schur, Owner of The Law Firm of William G. Schur, established his law firm in 1981. Based in Chicago, he focuses on civil matters including commercial collection, enforcement of foreign judgments and commercial litigation. Clients range from Fortune 500 companies to individuals throughout North America and Europe.
