MIAMI, Oct. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Skyscanner, the global travel search engine, has compiled all the necessary data to aid users as they plan their travel for the Thanksgiving holiday. Before joining the more than 20 million passengers planning to fly to a destination this season, Skyscanner identified the areas of most interest for travelers and unveiled some new data from its more than 60 million monthly users to help guide the decision-making process.

As far as duration of travel, Skyscanner found that the most common itineraries are those lasting four and seven days. This is an interesting data point as it shows travelers are more and more inclined to extend their travel during this time of year. In addition, rather than analyze which airports are expected to receive the most traffic overall during Thanksgiving, Skyscanner created a day-by-day breakdown to show which airports are expected to be busiest and which travelers may want to consider avoiding throughout the entire holiday week.
