WASHINGTON, Oct. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) has extended the deadline for nominations for its coveted 2017 national recognition awards: Restaurant Neighbor Award, Faces of Diversity Award, and Ambassador of Hospitality Award. Nomination forms are available online at ChooseRestaurants.org/Awards until Nov. 11, 2016.

With less than two weeks left, time is running out to nominate industry professionals who have enhanced the restaurant and foodservice industry through their tireless work and remarkable leadership. Recipients can win up to $10,000 and receive an all-expenses paid trip to Washington, DC where they are honored at a gala awards dinner in March 2017.

The Restaurant Neighbor Award, founded in partnership with American Express, honors restaurants and restaurateurs for their philanthropic efforts and dedication to their communities. The Faces of Diversity Award, sponsored by PepsiCo Foodservice, was created to promote the importance of diversity and inclusion by honoring individuals who have realized the American Dream through hard work, determination and enterprise. The Thad and Alice Eure Ambassador of Hospitality Award is the premiere award bestowed by the NRAEF to an individual who has shown extraordinary achievement and leadership in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
