Established in 1940 by his father, the law firm that became Maxwell and Maxwell provided legal services to South Central Pennsylvania in all areas of the law. Before he joined his firm, he served as the Assistant District Attorney for Franklin County, PA.
Admitted to the Pennsylvania State Bar in 1966, Mr. Maxwell practiced law for over fifty years. In this time, he has had many crowning achievements, including a difficult estate case with a family of five Mennonite sisters and brothers.
An academic achiever, Mr. Maxwell earned a Bachelor of Arts at Juniata College, and a Bachelor of Laws and Doctor of Jurisprudence at the University of Pennsylvania. Influenced by his father and by his minister, Mr. Maxwell decided to become a lawyer. As a child, he strived to help others; he would spend fifty-two years doing just that. He urged people to settle differences rather than litigate.
Mr. Maxwell's hobbies and interest include practicing Christianity, helping people, and mentoring at risk students at public schools.
