ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Lennar, Florida's most respected homebuilder, has broken ground on its most exquisite property to date. The one billion dollar luxury and amenity filled community of Lennar Homes in ChampionsGate, which borders both Osceola and Polk Counties, is planned to open in January 2013. The resort-style community is expected to attract not only pre-retirees, retirees, and vacation homebuyers, but the international set as well. Miami-based national homebuilder Lennar purchased 22 acres from ChampionsGate developer Rida Development Corporation in 2012. They will close on an additional 12 acres of land this winter. Lennar will add the land to approximately 900 acres under control at its former Stoneybrook South community, which is now rebranded as part of ChampionsGate. Lennar expects to launch sales early next year in three neighborhoods that will each have its own unique clubhouse and amenities.

The Country Club in ChampionsGate will have approximately 600-800 single-family homes between 1852 sq. ft., starting in the mid $200's, up to 2599 sq. ft. starting in the upper $270's. The Country Club neighborhood will include The Plaza clubhouse, which will have a casual dining restaurant and bar, pool, fitness center, fire pit and putting green. The Retreat in ChampionsGate will have approximately 600-700 single-family homes between 2122 sq. ft., starting in the low $300's, up to 3812 sq. ft. starting in the low $400's. The neighborhood clubhouse called The Oasis, will have a pool, lazy river, waterslides, fitness center, outdoor grille and bar. The Vista in ChampionsGate will have approximately 382 condos, townhomes, and golf homes overlooking 36 holes of golf. This neighborhood will have access to The ChampionsGate Golf Club.
