Lend Lease Begins Construction on The Terraces at Bonita Springs, A SantaFe Senior Living Community

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla., Jan. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Lend Lease has been selected by SantaFe Senior Living, a SantaFe HealthCare company, to provide construction management services for The Terraces at Bonita Springs, a retirement community in Bonita Springs, Florida.  Greystone Communities was selected as the development consultant to SantaFe. Lend Lease began construction on the project November 4, 2011.

"The Terraces", a 383,000 square-foot continuing care retirement community (CCRC), sits on a 20-acre green field site at 26401 S. Tamiami Trail. The community is sponsored by SantaFe Senior Living and is comprised of maintenance-free independent living in 144 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartment homes. It will also provide lifetime access to on-site health care, including 48 assisted living, 40 skilled nursing and 18 dedicated memory support residences. 

The project work scope includes 144 parking spaces, 13 stand-alone garage buildings, several dining venues, state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, spa, performance center auditorium, creative arts studio, library and resource center, beauty salon/barbershop, classrooms and guest suites.

The interior finishes are a luxurious a pallet of butter yellow, gold and clay accented with cobalt blue tile, rosa Verona marble and mahogany wood trim.  The building's exterior continues the Mediterranean Revival aesthetic in painted stucco design.  The structural system is concrete block and precast concrete hollow core planks.  The HVAC system is a combination of roof top package units and split system DX units.
