Leithen Francis, Max Kingsley-Jones and Rupa Haria Join AVIATION WEEK's International Editorial Team
AVIATION WEEK expands its global coverage with new aviation and aerospace reporters in London and Singapore
NEW YORK, Sept. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Veteran aviation journalists Leithen Francis and Max Kingsley-Jones, as well as airport and social media authority Rupa Haria, are the newest members of AVIATION WEEK's growing international team of editors and online community managers, the company announced today. Francis is AVIATION WEEK's new Singapore bureau chief; Kingsley-Jones joins as the senior air transport editor in London; and Haria, also based in London, will head up the Commercial/MRO team's online efforts.
Singapore Bureau Chief Leithen Francis covers Asia, drawing from his extensive experience reporting on the aerospace, defense, commercial aviation and aircraft manufacturing industries in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in China, Indonesia and Japan. Most recently he was deputy Asia editor for Flight International. Francis speaks Mandarin and is a journalism graduate of RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Max Kingsley-Jones, based in London, is AVIATION WEEK's senior air transport editor, focused on commercial aviation and aerospace. Also previously at Flight International as its deputy editor, Kingsley-Jones is a highly regarded journalist with an expansive knowledge of the air transport industry. He has received five Aerospace Journalist of the Year Awards.
Rupa Haria is the online community manager for commercial aviation and MRO (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul) at AVIATION WEEK. She has worked in the leisure and business travel industry for 12 years, most recently at London City Airport, where she was responsible for external and internal communications and spearheaded the airport's digital media strategy.
