RESTON, Va., Jan. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos (NYSE: LDOS), a FORTUNE 500® science, information technology, and engineering leader, ranked #62 in the Forbes Just 100 list, which recognizes the nation's best corporate citizens. The list ranks the largest publicly traded U.S. corporations according to seven business behaviors: worker pay and treatment, customer respect, product quality, environmental impact, ethical leadership, job creation and supporting local communities.
Forbes partnered with the non-profit company JUST Capital to survey more than 72,000 people over three years about key areas American companies should focus on. Survey respondents placed 23% importance on how well a company treats their workers, 19% on customer service, 17% on environmental stewardship, 13% on community involvement, 10% on job creation and 6% on shareholder treatment. Forbes and Just Capital then analyzed nearly 1,000 companies and determined the top 100 corporations who outperformed their peers and set the highest standards for what they deemed just business behavior.
The Just 100 list also ranked how well corporations did in each of the seven business behavior categories. Leidos tied first for customer service and ranked 25th for environment impact – the second time the company's green efforts were recognized since December. Additionally, Leidos ranked third in industry among the 15 computer services corporations analyzed for the list.
"Being named to the Just 100 list is a testament to the culture of innovation at Leidos that helps us deliver for our customers and ultimately secure their trust," said Roger Krone, Leidos Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. "Our inspired, forward-thinking workforce differentiates us from our peers. I am proud of their ability to develop technical solutions that make the world safer, healthier, and more efficient for all of us."
