Leidos-CDM Solutions, LLC Awarded Environmental Remediation Contract By U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers

Joint Venture Company to Provide Environmental Remediation Services to Northwest Division Federal Customers

RESTON, Va., July 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Leidos-CDM Solutions, a joint venture between Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) and CDM Smith, was awarded a prime contract by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Kansas City District to provide environmental remediation services (ERS) and long-term response actions (LTRA). The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) multiple-award task order contract (MATOC) has a three-year base period of performance, one two-year option, and a total contract value of $120 million for all awardees, if the option is exercised. Leidos-CDM Solutions is one of six contractors eligible to compete for work under the MATOC.

Under the contact, Leidos-CDM Solutions will provide ERS/LTRA services to clean up contaminated sites to remove environmental hazards, such as pollution of air, soil and groundwater, which pose serious health hazards to humans and the environment. Cleanup efforts will allow for the reuse of the properties.
