WASHINGTON, July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Legendary journalists Judy Woodruff and Gwen Ifill, co-anchors of PBS NewsHour's 2012 election coverage, will analyze the complex issues in play in the run up to the Nov. 6 general election at a National Press Club luncheon on Tuesday, July 24.

The wide-ranging discussion will address how the economy, shifting demographics, female voters and the recent Supreme Court health care decision could influence presidential politics. Woodruff first burnished her presidential politics credentials as an NBC News reporter based in Atlanta, where she covered then-Gov. Jimmy Carter's bid for the Oval Office. Ifill, a senior correspondent at PBS, has moderated two vice-presidential debates.
Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. The formal program, which includes a question-and-answer session, begins promptly at 1 p.m. and concludes at 2 p.m. The event will be held in the National Press Club ballroom 13th floor, National Press Building, 529 - 14th Street, NW, Washington, D.C. Tickets cost $19 for Press Club members, $30 for guests of members, and $37 for general admission. To reserve tickets, please e-mail [email protected] or call 202-662-7501. Tickets must be paid for at time of reservation.
