Legendary Composers to Perform "The Songs of Our Lives" at 5th Annual Concert to Benefit the Fulfillment Fund

LOS ANGELES, May 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Songs of Our Lives, Volume V concert to benefit the Fulfillment Fund – a nonprofit organization which helps Los Angeles students overcome obstacles in pursuit of their dreams of higher education – will take place Tuesday, May 22 at 7:30 pm at the Geffen Playhouse.  

The concert's lineup of award-winning songwriters performing some of their greatest hits includes:

The Songs of Our Lives benefit concert is the brain-child of award-winning songwriter Charles Fox who, along with his wife Joan, is a Fulfillment Fund board member. Fox's vision was to combine entertainment and philanthropy in a meaningful way to support the Fulfillment Fund's important work in the community.

"The benefit concerts have been a huge success because of the intimacy and renowned artists that participate," said Fox, a member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Governor of the Motion Picture Academy. "I am extremely grateful for the artists' generosity, which helps so many young people to overcome obstacles and make their dreams of college come true."

For more than 35 years, the Fulfillment Fund has been dedicated to providing first-generation, low-income students in Los Angeles with the support necessary to graduate from high school, earn a college degree and become productive and successful members of society. Through classroom instruction, college counseling, mentoring and scholarships, the Fund transforms the lives of students.
