Legal-Bay Reports Civil Suit Against Yankee Pitcher
Lawsuitssettlementfunding.com, a Case Funding Firm, says Ivan Nova, a pitcher for the Yankees, is facing a civil suit brought against him and his wife by their former landlord for leaving the rented home "uninhabitable."
NEWARK, N.J., June 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Legal-Bay LLC, The Lawsuit Settlement Funding Company which operates Lawsuitssettlementfunding.com, reported today that Yankee pitcher, Ivan Nova, is facing a civil suit brought against him and his wife by their former landlord for leaving the rented home "uninhabitable."
In a civil suit in Manhattan, their former landlord, Jose Rodriguez, claims Nova and his wife, Jasmine, "threw raging parties that ruined furnishings and appliances and also left behind a 'rampant cockroach infestation' at the house they rented," according to The NY Post. The $4,500 a month house in White Plains has allegedly been left "uninhabitable" since Nova and his wife, Jasmine, moved out in September of 2015, costing their former landlord more than $24K in income and $50K in damages. Also according to the article, 29-year-old Nova denies the allegations, saying his ex-wife lived there and he was in Tampa in 2014 during the time she lived there.
Rodriguez is suing the Yankee pitcher "for the costs and an additional $100K in punitive damages, citing breach of contract and property damage."
