Legacy ER & Urgent Care Names Keith Miller President
Former Chief Development Officer of DentalOne Partners to Lead and Grow Hybrid ER/Urgent Care Provider
FRISCO, Texas, April 21, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Legacy ER & Urgent Care (LER) announced today that Keith Miller has been named president of the company which operates as a unique hybrid model of healthcare clinics providing both emergency and urgent care services under one roof. Miller will provide day-to-day leadership for LER and spearhead its expansion across Texas.
"Legacy ER & Urgent Care's hybrid emergency and urgent care model offers a unique and essential service to the community," said Miller. "Patients are only charged for the level of care they receive. The goal is to combine personalized quality medical care, minimal wait times and higher cost-savings over hospital ERs and standard urgent care clinics. It's a model that I was drawn to, and it's a model that will serve us well as we expand into new communities."
LER is one of the nation's first flexible healthcare models to offer both emergency room treatment options and urgent care at one location. All patients are evaluated and treated by board-certified emergency-trained physicians, prepared to address the needs of all patients. Based on the initial evaluation, many patients are diagnosed as urgent care cases, rather than emergencies, resulting in lower co-payments and overall cost of treatment.
Onsite laboratories, state-of-the art equipment and a complete staff of nurses, radiologists and EMTs, all lead to most patients being seen, treated and released in less than an hour. Founded in 2008, LER has two locations in Frisco and Allen, Texas that serve the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex.
"Keith is a great fit for our company because he brings more than 24 years of executive leadership and operations experience to Legacy ER at a time when we're poised for significant growth," said Joe Hutts, chairman of the board and chief executive officer of LER. "Keith is a hands-on leader focused on achieving results in a customer-oriented work environment, and he has a proven track record of building and growing companies in both the healthcare and retail industries."
Prior to joining LER, Miller successfully championed start-ups and engineered organizational turnarounds. He's held executive positions at Fleming Foods and Aldi Inc., and most recently served as executive vice president and chief operations and development officer for DentalOne Partners.
