HACKETTSTOWN, N.J., March 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Mars Chocolate North America announced Left TWIX® is embarking on an ambitious mission to prove they're America's favorite TWIX®, as they square off with their rival and launch a nationwide taste test asking fans to Taste and Vote for their favorite side. Although to be frank, Left TWIX® thinks that this contest is completely unnecessary since we all know who is going to win anyway.
Fans are encouraged to take the taste test and cast their vote using #LeftTWIX on Instagram and Twitter – (obviously no one will need the other hashtag once they try Left TWIX®'s rich, flowing caramel on cookie, bathed in chocolate). Fans can also Taste and Vote over the next several months at official Left TWIX® taste tests taking place at several music festivals and events throughout the country. The taste tests will begin in March at the Westwood One (WWO) "NASH Live in Austin" event during Music Week at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
"This is the year the rivalry looks to the fans to Taste and Vote and ultimately declare America's favorite TWIX®," said Allison Miazga-Bedrick, TWIX® Brand Director, Mars Chocolate North America. "Fans can keep up with the campaign at TWIX.com, which will include live updates from both sides, a color coded map showing how each side is polling, as well as real-time social feeds."
The taste test will come to an end in September when Left TWIX® will certainly be crowned the best TWIX® in America (although there's no reason the coronation can't take place today). With the win, a limited supply of Left TWIX® only promotional packs will be available, and two Left TWIX® bars will be side by side without interruption from the right.
