MCLEAN, Va., Aug. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) today announced that Lee Carrick will lead the company's Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Group program development efforts, effective Aug. 11.
In his new role, Carrick will develop, communicate, and implement the ISR Group's overall growth strategies, including efforts relating to strategic plan development and execution, marketing efforts, business development initiatives, and group account and strategic capture management. He will also coordinate merger and acquisition activities within the group.
Carrick most recently led the program development activity for the ISR Group's Intelligence Systems Business Unit, part of the ISR Group. Prior to that, he served as president of the Perot Systems Government Services subsidiary, where he led sales, delivery, and operations of a 3,200-person team providing over $950 million in services and solutions to a variety of customers. He was also a corporate vice president for Northrop Grumman Information Systems, where he led an almost half-billion-dollar organization. Lee retired from the United States Air Force after serving in positions of increasing responsibility in intelligence, space operations, defense acquisition, and mission support.
"Lee's appointment will enable our group to maintain its strong, strategic focus on the integration of technology, systems, and operational solutions across intelligence disciplines in all domains — air, land, sea, space, and cyberspace — to deliver full-spectrum mission performance," said ISR Group President Tony Moraco. "Our program development activities are central to our success, and Lee's leadership is a welcome addition to our team."
Carrick holds a Bachelor of Science in computer science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fla., and a Master of Science in acquisition and contract management from West Coast University in Los Angeles, Calif. He also has completed executive development programs at the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia, and George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
