NEW YORK, Jan. 29, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Leal Health ("Leal" or "the Company"), formerly known as Trialjectory, a patient-first, AI-powered treatment platform revolutionizing patient access to cancer care, announced today that the Company has partnered with the American Cancer Society (ACS), the foremost cancer-fighting organization with a vision of improving the lives of cancer patients and ending cancer for everyone, to present a webinar, titled "Hope in the New Year." Broadcasted from ACS's Hope Lodge located in New York City, the webinar explored themes of patient empowerment, providing valuable resources and fostering hope as we embark on the new year.
The conversation was led by Diana Abehssera, Patient Experience Lead at Leal Health and featured a conversation with colorectal cancer patient, Tim Kavanagh, who is based in Vermont and currently undergoing treatment in New York. Emphasizing the pivotal role of patient empowerment, Tim highlighted the invaluable support offered by patient-centric organizations like Leal Health and the American Cancer Society. The conversation also spotlighted the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge program, an initiative that provides free lodging and support to cancer patients and their caregivers during treatment. With Hope Lodge boasting over 30 locations nationwide, it annually contributes more than 500,000 nights of free lodging, resulting in savings exceeding $15 million.
"Leal, with a mission of keeping patient-centricity at the forefront of everything we do, and ACS are aligned in our shared goal of empowering patients with options, knowledge and hope," said Tzvia Bader, CEO, Leal Health. "This shared commitment is evident in our dedication to educating and supporting patients at every step of their treatment journey. With Leal growing by roughly 4,000 patients monthly, and having impacted over 4.5 million patients to date, we proudly stand at the intersection of precision medicine and patient empowerment. Together - with the American Cancer Society - we look forward to continuing to make strides against cancer and helping more patients in need."
"Our American Cancer Society Hope Lodges create a sense of community for cancer patients and their caregivers," said Chloe Lipman, Vice President of Community Development for the American Cancer Society. "We know that having to travel far from home to receive treatment can cause a large financial burden for many families. We are grateful to partner with Leal Health to spread the word of our Hope Lodge networks and for their commitment in helping us remove barriers that prevent cancer patients from getting the care they need."
