LeadMaster Selects Force10 Networks' Switches to Power Network Upgrade

SAN JOSE, Calif., Feb. 8, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Force10 Networks, Inc., a global technology leader, today announced that LeadMaster has selected high-performance, low-latency top-of-rack S-Series™ access switches from Force10 Networks. The Atlanta-based customer relationship management (CRM) software provider selected Force10 1/10 Gigabit Ethernet switches as part of an overall network refresh designed to improve reliability and performance and better position the business for rapid changes in the marketplace.

The S50N access switch runs on the modular Force10 Operating System (FTOS), which delivers the stability and management functionality required in virtualized deployments. For example, Force10's VirtualView software provides real-time network and application traffic monitoring for virtualized data centers. FTOS leverages a distributed, multiprocessor architecture coupled with non-blocking, low-latency switching to offer the performance capabilities that LeadMaster wanted as it built out its next-generation environment.

The cloud computing sales lead management/CRM software provider recognized that FTOS maintained a stable code base with an industry-standard common management interface and tool set that would contribute significantly to reducing operational expenses, which leads to an overall lower cost of ownership. Port density also plays a role in lowering costs. The compact, high-density S50 switch provides 48 GbE access ports and up to four optional 10 GbE uplinks in just 1-RU. As network demands continue to increase, scalable stacking technology supports 384 GbE ports with up to eight S50Ns.
