Leading Vendors Set to Unveil New OTT Products & Services at TelcoTV 2010
TelcoTV Exhibitors Help Operators Monetize OTT Video
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- TelcoTV 2010, the largest video conference and expo focused on the US service provider market, today announced that a variety of exhibitors are introducing products and solutions that allow telecom service providers to make over-the-top (OTT) video more profitable.
TelcoTV, which will take place November 9 to 11, 2010 in Las Vegas, offers a unique venue for solution providers to showcase their new product or service offerings. This year's theme, "Profiting in a Multi-Screen World," reflects the industry's challenge of making video services work for both consumers and service providers.
As the competitive environment continues to shift and consumers become more tech savvy, TelcoTV exhibitors are addressing the changes in consumer behavior with new products and solutions to help operators offer and monetize OTT applications and services. TelcoTV exhibitors are prepared to discuss how operators can use these solutions to remain competitive, reduce churn, and increase the average revenue per user (ARPU).
The list of exhibitors making announcements and debuting OTT solutions at TelcoTV 2010 will continue to grow as the event nears and currently includes the following:
Amino Communications will showcase its Intel®-powered Amino Freedom hybrid/OTT media center running a range of "hands-on" demonstrations that capture the device's ability to deliver broadcast TV, video on demand, home media, and OTT content, plus new user interfaces, gaming, and applications. The Amino Freedom, already winner of a prestigious industry award this year, features the Intel® Atom™ processor CE4100 and is powered by the first generation of Intel® and Nokia's MeeGo™ for the TV. Visit www.aminocom.com or booth #431.
ATX Networks has expanded its UCrypt® product offering designed to support the delivery of content into hospitality and bulk MDU accounts, so that virtually any deployment architecture and distribution application can be addressed. The UCrypt QAM-to-QAM product was designed to transition content from the HFC plant and retransmit into an MDU/hotel in Pro:Idiom/clear QAM format. ATX has now included both IP and Analog output capabilities where supplying every dwelling with a set-top box is not practical. Visit www.atxnetworks.com or booth #226.
Endavo Media and Conklin-Intracom will showcase the seamless integration of Endavo's OTT Video Services Platform with Conklin-Intracom's fs|cdn® IPTV middleware solution into a hybrid OTT/IPTV service, offering telcos a service differentiating subscriber experience. By augmenting the fs|cdn ecosystem with Endavo's Media Management System, service providers can deliver a unique blend of locally uploaded or global content with the traditional broadcast-TV experience, or go OTT to other devices.
