Leading Solar Module OEMs to Display Next-Generation Tigo Energy Technology During PV Expo Japan
PV Module Solutions and Compatible Junction-Box Products Featuring Tigo Energy® SmartModule™ Technology to be Showcased
TOKYO, Feb. 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --Tigo Energy®, the market leader in SmartModule™ technology for photovoltaic (PV) solar installations, today announced collaboration with key partners that will display their latest solar products based on Tigo Energy next-generation module technology at PV Expo Japan in Tokyo, Feb. 29 through March 2.
Leading module OEMs including Trina Solar, Hanwha Solar, Upsolar, DelSolar, Astronergy, and Luxor will demonstrate PV solutions maximized by Tigo Energy's technologies. GCL Solar System Integration will showcase an intelligent, easy-to-install residential rooftop system optimized for the Japanese market using Tigo Energy's Maximizer solutions. In addition, some of the most recognized providers of junction boxes for PV solar modules including Onamba, Shoals Technologies, Amphenol Inc. and QC Solar will display their SmartModule products maximized by Tigo Energy.
The Maximizer solution enables owners of PV projects of any size (residential, commercial or utility scale) to track their assets and increase financial returns by improving power production, ensuring peak system up-time and drastically reducing the cost of operations and maintenance (O&M). By sourcing the Tigo Energy system as an integrated part of a SmartModule from trusted module OEMs, a project developer can implement the intelligent features with lower cost, simplified system design, reduced field labor and integrated warranties.
"We're pleased to see the rapid adoption of our industry-leading embedded SmartModule technology," said Jeff Krisa, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Tigo Energy. "Our partners have evaluated the technology and concluded that their products maximized by Tigo Energy offer enhanced value to the life-cycle of a solar project. With these market leaders, we are bringing project developers and financing institutions the advantages of distributed control and management with minimal impact to the system design, installation or cost."
"We're excited to introduce an intelligent residential rooftop to the Japanese market featuring the Tigo Energy product," said Ted Hou, General Manager of Marketing of GCL Solar Systems. "GCL is committed to driving efficiency from the wafer downstream into power project development capabilities. Tigo Energy's technology provides an excellent solution that enhances the value of GCL's residential solution."
PV installers worldwide have rapidly adopted the Tigo Energy solution in both their residential and large-scale commercial offerings. Tigo Energy's global market adoption can be attributed to a unique system architecture that delivers all the value of distributed electronics with unmatched efficiency, cost and reliability.
SmartModules incorporating the Tigo Energy Maximizer will be available in high volume this quarter and can be sourced in North America, Europe, Middle East, Japan and Asia. By combining Tigo Energy-enabled SmartModules, the Tigo Energy Maximizer Management Unit and an inverter from any of the industry leaders, an intelligent system can be designed for any sized project in any geography.
