Leading Fiduciary Firm fi360 Strengthens Washington Presence with Appointment of Industry Veteran

PITTSBURGH, Nov. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Fiduciary360, (fi360), the premier organization for fiduciary education, investment analytics, support services and industry insights for financial professionals, today announced the appointment of Duane Thompson as Senior Policy Analyst. Mr. Thompson will assist fi360 in coordinating its policy work with legislators and regulators in Washington, D.C., and provide analysis and commentary on the most pressing fiduciary issues of the day.
Mr. Thompson is based in Washington, D.C., where he has worked for 20 years advocating on legislative and regulatory issues concerning the financial industry. He recently served as a managing director for the Financial Planning Association and was featured on the cover of Financial Planning in 2008 as a 'Mover and Shaker' in the industry.

The addition of Mr. Thompson will further expand fi360's experienced regulatory team. He will work closely with Kristina Fausti, the firm's Director of Legal and Regulatory Affairs. Ms. Fausti served for more than four years as a special counsel in the Office of the Chief Counsel, Division of Trading and Markets at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Thompson is a principal in the strategic counseling firm Potomac Strategies, based in Kensington, Maryland. Prior to his advocacy work, he worked as a journalist and Capitol Hill press secretary. Mr. Thompson has a Master's degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and a Bachelor of Arts in history and studio art from Principia College in Elsah, Illinois.
