Webinars to Focus on Technology-Related Violence Against Women Crimes
RICHMOND, Vt., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Dr. Gary Margolis, managing partner at Margolis, Healy & Associates, a recognized leader in higher education and K-12 safety and security, will participate in a series of violence against women response training Webinars hosted by Campus Outreach Services. The Webinars will focus on technology-related violence against women crimes to include sexual assault and stalking. The first Webinar in this series will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2010 from 2:00 - 3:00 pm (EDT).
"Violence against women crimes are the most under reported violent crimes on the modern college campus," Margolis said. "Administrators, faculty and students alike are faced with critical technology-related challenges surrounding these crimes such as cyber dating, sexting, webcams, cyber stalking, and online harassment. A thorough and comprehensive understanding of these and other issues are essential in their prevention and elimination."
The Webinar will also examine other important areas such as non-stranger sexual assault, "hookup culture," alcohol, rape drugs, sexual exploitation, coercion, intimidation, stalking, other violence against women crimes and same sex assault.

During his near 20-year distinguished career in public safety he has served as a police executive; police officer and deputy sheriff; and police academy administrator.
