Leading Analyst Firm Reveals ClearCube Blade PCs Have a 44% Lower Total Cost of Ownership Than Desktop PCs
Study reveals ClearCube blades deliver greater physical and data security, higher reliability, a better worker environment and reduced operating costs.
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- ClearCube Technology www.clearcube.com, the leader in rack mounted secure workstations, blade PCs and centralized computing, today announced the results of a recent IDC study that revealed ClearCube blade workstations and blade PCs have a 44% lower total cost of ownership than desktop PCs.
The benefits of ClearCube's PC blade and zero client architecture are extensive and include greater physical and data security, higher uptime, dramatically reduced operating costs and a better work environment with improved thermal and noise characteristics. These benefits resulted in an average return on investment of 450% with payback in 6.17 months.
"While all enterprises can benefit from a centralized computing infrastructure, organizations with strict data security and assurance requirements, including federal government, financial services and health care, in particular, can realize a strong return on investment," said Bob O'Donnell, VP, Clients and Displays at IDC. "The ClearCube PC blade and client architecture has inherently better security than distributed PCs and a lower operating cost."
"In 1997, when we founded the concept of centralized computing by moving the PC from the desktop to the data center, we quickly realized there would be extensive benefits realized by customers," said Randy Printz, CEO of ClearCube Technology. "The IDC report focuses on what our customers have experienced for a long time: ClearCube's blade workstations are much more cost effective, secure, reliable and easier to manage than box PCs."
ClearCube has an extensive line of rack mounted blade PCs based on Intel's latest Nehalem and Westmere processors. ClearCube zero clients seamlessly and securely connect to ClearCube blade PCs or virtual machines.
