Leadership Forum to Provide Women With Growth Strategies, Success Tools for Careers as Financial Professionals
MARINA DEL REY, Calif., May 31, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Helping women grow as leaders and financial professionals is the objective of the Women's Leadership Forum being held June 10 at the Marriott Marina del Rey.
The day-long forum, sponsored by the California CPA Education Foundation and the California Society of CPAs (CalCPA), is designed to provide leadership strategies and success tools for women, whether they are emerging professionals or are more established in their careers. A series of break-out sessions will focus on such topics as personal branding, strategies for recruiting and developing women leaders, and achieving results while managing stress, career and family demands.
Joi S. Gordon, CEO of Dress for Success Worldwide, will discuss resources and tools to help women succeed in the marketplace. Donna J. Miles, associate professor of clinical management communication for the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business, will talk about how women can rise as leaders in their organizations.
A special lunchtime celebration will recognize California's top women CPAs and their contributions to the profession.
