NEW YORK, July 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- EY today announced the appointment of Michael Inserra as EY Americas Vice Chair and that Anthony Caterino will succeed him as Ernst & Young LLP Vice Chair and Regional Managing Partner of the Financial Services Organization (FSO).
Inserra, who has been the current Vice Chair and Regional Managing Partner of the Ernst & Young LLP FSO since 2013, will be leaving the role to lead Markets and Operations for the EY Americas Area and will succeed Gary Belske as Deputy Managing Partner of Ernst & Young LLP upon Belske's retirement. Caterino will now oversee FSO practices in the Americas, which include advisory, assurance, tax and transaction services, as well as the wealth and asset management, banking and capital markets, and insurance sectors.
"Since its inception in 2000, the FSO thrived because of the dedication and integrity of its people and a commitment to stewardship and innovation. It is a mindset that has guided us through countless industry shifts, and has led to a wealth of experiences which I hope to leverage in my new role within the EY Americas leadership," said Inserra. "I couldn't be more proud to have served as Regional Managing Partner of the FSO and that Anthony will continue the work that I, and those before me, have led."
More than 9,000 professionals across member firms with 80-plus offices make up the FSO in the Americas and work closely with clients to anticipate and meet their needs; deliver high-quality work, guidance and insights; and build on the EY tradition of exceptional client service.
"I am excited to continue the legacy of entrepreneurship and innovation that have been strong differentiators for the FSO," said Caterino. "It's an honor to have been selected to lead this group, and I thank Mike for his mentorship and continued support."
With more than 23 years of financial services experience at EY, Caterino has held a number of client-serving leadership roles within the organization during his career. He most recently served as FSO Market Segment Leader for the Southeast Region of the Ernst & Young LLP, which he co-founded in 2002. In this role, he built a team of more than 800 professionals, and was instrumental in helping found the firm's FSO Wealth Management Advisory practice in 2009. He also helped coordinate US and European Wealth & Asset Management practices brand activity, capabilities development and global engagement in the US, UK, Germany, and Switzerland for EY.
