LAX Announces Permanent Closure of Long-Term Parking Lot B
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective January 7, 2010, Los Angeles International Airport's (LAX) Parking Lot B will close permanently to public parking. Returning passengers can pick-up their vehicles parked in long-term Parking Lot B, located at 111th Street and La Cienega Boulevard, through January 31.

Passengers and visitors who normally use Lot B are encouraged now to park in economy Lot C, conveniently located at 96th Street and Sepulveda Boulevard, just north of LAX. Parking is free for the first two hours at Lot C, and $1 every two hours thereafter up to the $12 daily rate maximum. Parking fees include the 10 percent Los Angeles City Parking Occupancy Tax. Most major credit cards are accepted for payment.
Frequent, free LAX Shuttle service is available 24-hours daily to transport travelers to and from Lot C to the airline terminals. Passengers returning to Lot B after January 7 will need to catch the Lot B/E shuttle on the Central Terminal Area upper level curbside by the Employee Shuttle Stop sign located in front of each terminal. Accommodations are available for travelers with disabilities, and all LAX Shuttle buses are equipped with wheelchair lifts.
