-- Expansion includes real-time news on M&A, Private Equity and Real Estate --
NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Law360 (www.law360.com), a publisher of litigation news and intelligence, is pleased to announce the expansion of its existing news service with a suite of new sections designed specifically for transactional attorneys.
The new sections will provide up-to-the-minute news and analysis of interest to attorneys with a focus on real estate, M&A and private equity transactions and related financing. The new sections are available exclusively to Law360 subscribers, who consist of each of the top 100 law firms, hundreds of U.S. and international corporations, and major federal and state agencies.
"This is the next step in the continuing expansion of Law360, providing business attorneys across multiple specialties the news and analysis they need to keep abreast of major issues and cases," Magnus Hoglund, co-founder of Law360.
The expansion comes on the heels of Law360's successful launch of Law360 Data, a powerful platform that provides real-time updates on case activity for nearly every federal district court in the U.S.
The new sections include:
- Mergers & Acquisitions, a rebranding and significant expansion of the Corporate Finance section, which will include news from a legal perspective on M&A, regulatory merger reviews, poison-pill disputes, proxy contests and related litigation.
- Private Equity, a new section launching in October, which will provide more detailed coverage of control and noncontrol acquisitions, growth capital, distressed asset buys, leveraged buy-outs and other alternative asset transactions.
- Real Estate, a new section launching in November, which will cover legal disputes between buyers and sellers and developers and contractors as well as issues involving real estate financing, securitized assets and land use.
- Project Finance, a new section also launching in November, which will cover financing issues, environmental reviews, permit applications and issuances, early-stage notices and international arbitration related to projects.
Separately, the Contract section will be rebranded as Commercial Contracts, while the Financial Services section will be rebranded as Banking to reflect an expanded coverage of regulatory issues in the banking industry, including the fallout of the Dodd-Frank Act.
